multi residential

2019

the design of the refurbished Hordern Place Foyer, located in a multi residential apartment building built circa 1970 in potts point, sydney, incorporates a conceptual material ribbon made out of curved walls with slatted timber battens and a horizontal brass detail.

the spatial design includes a new office with a concierge-style brass door for residential security and services, as well as a semi-private area for letterboxes and parcels.

the ribbon guides residents or guests through the foyer as well as ties the spaces, existing lumps and bumps and new managers office into one cohesive space.

a light, airy suspended ceiling allows for an elevated atmosphere throughout the foyer.
